Training Biosafety
Spiez Laboratory biosafety training courses are geared towards three target groups:
- Spiez Laboratory staff
- Members of the Swiss Armed Forces
- National and international maximum containment experts
Spiez Laboratory plans to create an international centre of excellence in maximum containment training. Thanks to our biocontainment lab, we are able to offer training courses that give participants the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience of working in an maximum containment environment under real-life conditions and to familiarise themselves with the central aspects of biosafety. We also provide a mock lab where course participants can practice handling harmless pathogens.
